Sokha Thorng is the founder of Street Light Gospel, a faith-based nonprofit committed to reaching those impacted by incarceration, addiction, and spiritual darkness. Born in a Thailand refugee camp and raised in West Seattle, Sokha’s life was transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. His calling is clear: to carry the light of the Gospel into places most people avoid.
With a background in business and real estate, Sokha combines practical leadership with a deep passion for evangelism, reentry ministry, and discipleship. He leads Street Light Gospel with bold faith, spiritual discernment, and a heart to see lives restored through the love of Christ.

Richie Nelson - Spritual Advisor & Board Member
Richie Nelson is a seasoned pastor at Deeper Church in Burien, Wa and passionate follower of Jesus with over a decade of ministry experience across the globe. Alongside his wife, Hannah, Richie has dedicated his life to seeing people transformed by the Word of God and the power of His presence. Known for stepping boldly into spiritually dark places, Richie carries a deep conviction for revival, discipleship, and Spirit-led leadership.
Soon to be based in Fort Worth, Texas, Richie continues to serve Street Light Gospel as a Spiritual Advisor and Voting Board Member—offering wisdom, prayer, and insight to help guide the ministry’s spiritual direction.

Rorth Cheth - Operations Advisor & Board Member
Rorth is a natural leader forged by real-world experience, grounded in faith, and driven by a deep commitment to growth—for himself and those around him. With a strong background in team leadership and logistics, he brings structure, clarity, and calm to high-pressure environments. Known for leading by example, Rorth inspires unity through integrity, accountability, and clear direction.
Off the field, Rorth is both a teacher and a warrior—combining emotional intelligence with tactical thinking and spiritual depth. Though still new to the faith, he carries a powerful awareness of spiritual warfare and the reality of darkness that many face. His leadership isn’t just practical; it’s purposeful. He has a heart for discipleship and transformation, guiding others toward wholeness and calling.

Derien Ward - The Treasurer & Board Member
Derien Ward brings a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial strategy to Street Light Gospel. With experience managing budgets, contracts, and operations in both construction and nonprofit environments, Derien ensures the ministry’s finances are handled with integrity and clarity.
He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Oregon and is currently pursuing a Certificate of Accountancy. With a sharp eye for detail and a heart aligned with the mission, Derien serves as a faithful steward over the financial side of the ministry.

Sam Sellars - Systems Advisor & Board Member
Sam brings decades of technical expertise. As a software engineer with a deep love for Jesus, he offers behind-the-scenes support in areas like digital systems and strategic planning.
Married to his wife Kathy and a proud father of two daughters, Sam embodies humility, wisdom, and joyful faith. He is passionate about discipleship and spiritual formation, drawing inspiration from teachers like Dallas Willard. Whether through prayer, counsel, or quiet service, Sam helps the ministry stay anchored in both truth and clarity.
